This 4‑hour online, self‑paced course is designed for Texas beauty and barbering professionals who need to complete their continuing education requirements for license renewal. It combines the state‑required training in sanitation and human trafficking prevention with a practical, industry‑specific mental health awareness module focused on both professionals and clients. In the sanitation section, learners review current best practices for infection control, disinfection, blood‑borne pathogen precautions, and safe work habits that protect both clients and professionals. The human trafficking awareness section helps professionals recognize red flags, understand how traffickers may use salons and spas, and know when and how to safely report concerns in line with Texas requirements. The mental health awareness component addresses the emotional load of working behind the chair and on the table, early signs of burnout and compassion fatigue, and how to set clear boundaries with clients, including oversharing or emotionally intense clients, while staying warm and professional. Participants also learn quick grounding techniques they can use between appointments and build a realistic self‑care and boundary plan tailored to their own salon, spa, or suite. Upon completion, Texas licensees will have met their CE hours for sanitation and human trafficking, while also gaining practical mental health tools to support a safer, more sustainable career. This is course #32695 CE Provider # 2386.
